Pope Francis recognizes miracle attributed to Blessed Carlo Acutis

The miracle is related to a woman from Costa Rica.

The Catholic Church has attributed two miracles to Acutis, meaning he can be elevated to sainthood.

Pope Francis has recognized a second miracle attributed to the intercession of Blessed Carlo Acutis, an Italian teenager who died of leukemia in 2006 at age 15.

The miracle, which was recognized on Thursday, is related to a woman from Costa Rica who was suffering from an incurable disease. After praying to Acutis for intercession, she was miraculously cured.

Acutis was a devout Catholic who had a deep love for the Eucharist. He was also a talented computer programmer who used his skills to create websites and games that promoted his faith.

Acutis was beatified in 2020, and the Church is now considering canonizing him as a saint.
