Pope Francis has recognized a second miracle needed for the canonization of Italian Blessed Carlo Acutis, a teenage computer whiz known for his devotion to the Catholic faith.
The miracle, which involves the healing of a Brazilian woman from a rare disease, was confirmed on Thursday by the Vatican. Acutis, who died of leukemia in 2006 at the age of 15, could become the first millennial saint.
Acutis was known for his love of technology and used his skills to create websites and online content about the Catholic faith. He was also a fervent believer in the Eucharist and promoted its importance among young people.
